GeForce graphics cards?

As a general rule, is the 500 series of graphics cards better than the 8000 series?



I'm about to buy a laptop primarily for university study, but that is also capable of playing most modern games.



My most anticipated game this year is Deus Ex: Human Revolution (how good was deus ex 1 amirite?!?!)



Anyway, the minimum specs says it requires a GeForce 8000 series graphics card.

The laptop I'm looking at has a GeForce 500 series graphics card.



Help me out here, is the 500 series of equal or better capability than the 8000?GeForce graphics cards?
Yes all 500 is more powerful, with the exception of the 520m. it goes 8000%26lt;9000%26lt;100%26lt;200%26lt;300%26lt;400%26lt;500.

Give us the EXACT model #s and we can be more help (the second # is the important one, not the first, for example, a 260%26gt;525, but a 460%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;260).

geforce 8000 is more powerful than geforce 500. So if you wanna play that game you must buy a laptop that has gf 8000 series. But i would like to say desktop computers better than laptops to play games.
