Running OLD games in Windows 7?

I have few old classics like DEUS EX and HALF LIFE 1 which run fine in XP, will they run in WIN 7?Running OLD games in Windows 7?
If they are dos based I dont believe so, just create a VM using Virtualbox which is free and install win xp thats the best way but you can use emulators of dos if necessary.
windows 7 have function to backward compatible to window XP, only have to disable a couple of stuffs.

you can google itRunning OLD games in Windows 7?
Go to your Control Panel, then go to Programs abd Features. Right under that there is " Run Programs made for previous versions of Windows"

This is the XP Mode.

Good Luck and Enjoy

Option 1) Right click -%26gt; Compatibility -%26gt; Run in compatibility with: Windows XP.

If that doesn't work:

Option 2) Download a virtual machine and install an operating system on it. I recommend Sun VirtualBox with Windows 98/2000.

For DOS based ones:

Option 3) Download DOSBox.Running OLD games in Windows 7?
There are 2 ways of getting old games working.

1: Right click on file -%26gt;Properties -%26gt; Compatibility -%26gt; Run in compatibility with: Windows XP.

or if option 1 doesn't work.

2:Download Windows XP Mode from Microsofts Website, Install it, then run your games from within that.

But if you dont have the correct version of windows 7, it won't work but there is a way to get it working. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/12/14/workaround-to-install-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7-home-premium-and-home-basic/
