Whats the difference between intergrated and not intergrated and which one is better for gaming?

whats the difference between intergrated and not intergrated and which one is better for gaming as ive several laptops with nvidia geforce 330m 1 gb vram intergrated and not interrated what one is preferred for games such as tf2 and deus ex on high to medium specs?Whats the difference between intergrated and not intergrated and which one is better for gaming?
Short answer: Yes integrated graphics is alright.

Most integrated graphics are more than adequate for most users. They even allow you to do light gaming (Retro games comes to mind here). They have come a long way since the earlier integrated graphics.

There are many benefits (in my opinion) to using an integrated graphics solution.

1. The obvious would be you save money.

2. Consumes less power (this is just comparing what is already on the motherboard/processor vs an additional graphics card)

3. Less worries about power to the graphics card. Depending on the card, you may need additional power, and with that you need to ensure that your PSU can power it (i.e. have the right connectors and have adequate power output). But since you're buying everything from HP (I presume), this point is moot.

Why I would want an add-on graphics card?

1. More outputs (for a multi-monitor setup). Most integrated graphics only have a single monitor output (with an exception of a few which have 2).

2. Different connectivity (i.e. HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI,...etc..)...From what I can gather from the specs of the HP P7XT, the integrated graphics has DVI and VGA. You can still get HDMI via a DVI converter, however, I think you will not get Audio. (correct me if I'm wrong)

3. Better performance..(in games a definite....but in other productivity software or web browsing, this point too may be moot)

Give the integrated graphics a go first. If at any point you feel you need an add-on graphics card, you can always add one in later (and chances are by then, for the same amount of money you pay for one now, you can get something better)

Hope this helps!

not integrated video cards are those which you can manually keep graphic card to pci slot...

MOSTLY graphic cards are better for on0board video card..fro gaming because they are especially designed for gaming...Whats the difference between intergrated and not intergrated and which one is better for gaming?
Integrated graphics are not actually graphics cards, they are low end graphics sharing the RAM memory and CPU to display image.

Dedicated graphics are graphic cards in PC computers and dedicated GPU memory (processor) inside a laptop. They are the best for high quality display and gaming.
